• Take Hume Freeway (M31) → Wangaratta → Myrtleford → Bright

10:30–11:15 AM — Myrtleford (Autumn Drive Warm-Up)

• First glimpse of autumn colours along Ovens Valley

• Drive slowly along Great Alpine Road

• Short stop: stretch + photos

11:15–12:00 PM — Myrtle Street + “Phoenix Tree” (Hidden Gem)

• One of the MOST photogenic autumn spots

• Tunnel of red/orange leaves forming an arch

12:00–2:30 PM — Bright Town (Main Autumn Experience)

🚴 2:30–3:30 PM — Murray to Mountains Rail Trail (Best Foliage Walk)

• Flat, easy trail surrounded by golden trees

• Walk or rent bike (even 30–45 mins is enough)

• One of the most immersive autumn experiences

3:30–4:30 PM — Mount Buffalo (Optional Scenic Viewpoint)

• 20–30 min drive from Bright

• Stop at:

  • Eurobin Falls (short walk)

  • Scenic lookouts

4:30–5:00 PM — Coffee / Dessert Stop in Bright
